AND YOU’RE GONNA NEED A PAIR OF 3D GLASSES FOR THE MICHAEL JACKSON SEGMENT - THEY’RE FREE AT TARGET
I’m not the world’s biggest Michael Jackson fan. But after seeing “This Is It” in the theatre last November, and plowing through the extras on the just released DVD this last Tuesday, I do have a different perspective of him than before I saw the film. To watch the creative process was amazing, and one thing I learned from it, was that he was totally involved and in control of every aspect of the show, which would have ben ground breaking. It’s not easy to stage a show with elements that haven’t been thought of or created yet, but this show would have pulled it off. There’s enough tantalizing evidence in the movie to support that statement. During the Grammy’s this Sunday night, a 5 minute tribute to Michael will be shown in 3-D. You don’t need a 3-D television to see it that way, but you do need a pair of 3-D glasses that you can pick up (for free) at any Target store.

KURT WARNER - TO QUOTE THE CLASH “SHOULD I STAY OR SHOULD I GO”- THE DECISION WAS ANNOUNCED TODAY
He’s been wrestling with that question for some time now. Today made the announcement that after 12 years in the N.F.L. he is retiring. The decision didn’t come lightly . To quote Kurt:
“For the last couple of years God has been telling me it’s getting closer”.
One aspect of making his decision was “bring able to walk away without the game or your body dictating it to you.”
As far as his future is concerned?
“Minestry will be a part of it.”
“I want to work to continue to impact people’s lives”.
“I would like football to be a part of it. I enjoy the game”.
With the members of his family on stage with him, he summed things up pretty well for me with the statement “These eight people are my priority”.
Amen and God bless, Kurt. You’re a class act.

HERE’S A LETTER THAT WAS SENT OUT THIS AFTERNOON
After twelve amazing years in the NFL, I am announcing my retirement from the league today. There are many tremendous memories on the field and even more importantly many unforgettable memories of our off-the-field efforts through the First Things First Foundation. Brenda and I have been so blessed by the opportunity to use this platform to impact the lives of others. Please visit our website at kurtwarner.org to view a video message I recorded regarding my retirement. We are trusting Jesus with the next stage in our lives and know He has awesome plans for First Things First as well.
As a supporter of First Things First, I would like to personally thank each of you for all you have done for the foundation through prayer and gifts of time, talents and money. We are committed to expanding the foundation in the years to come and hope you will continue to support the work of First Things First.
In Him -
